This project was a puzzle in itself, the minimal space in the loft really calls for huge brain power and flexible architectural design to reinvent the space as a beautiful loft apartment. The existing building, a newly built apartment block situated in North London, the loft space already had its own separate entrance from the main communal stairwell. This space was a completely empty, unused forgotten space in need of renovation.

Flexible walls and magical use of glass allowed floods of natural daylight and clear blue sky into the flat coupled with beautiful architectural detailing. We are fascinated on every scale of space within the architectural realm, this was such a good experiment in what’s possible ergonomically within small spaces. London is full of these spaces and research and development into this area of design is really the way to go in ever denser city environments.
